Learn how best to start your business

SNWeekly

Starting out in business can be an overwhelming experience.

There's so much information available, and so many people willing to give their opinions and advice.

But how do you know who's right, and, more importantly, who's got the right advice for your business?

To help answer these questions, Greater Shepparton Business Centre is offering a workshop on Wednesday, March 17.

Greater Shepparton Business Centre co-ordinator Geoff Hay said the workshop Starting Your Business offered direction to help participants avoid the mistakes made by many new businesses.

``Choosing the most suitable arrangement for your business, such as sole trader or partnership, is crucial and this workshop will also cover things like how to register a business or company name and what steps you need to take to ensure you protect that name,'' Geoff said.

``The seminar will be facilitated by John Vine, who has been involved in the small business and franchise industry for over 20 years.''

The workshop will be held from 6 pm to 9.30 pm at 70 New Dookie Rd, Shepparton; cost is $30, bookings are essential.

To book your place, phone Greater Shepparton Business Centre on 5832 1100.
